Project Completion Report of FAO
The SAFE+ program, launched in 2018 by FAO, IOM, and WFP in Cox's Bazar, addressed environmental, economic, and social challenges following the Rohingya crisis. Phase 1 focused on reforestation for environmental rehabilitation, while Phase 2 enhanced community resilience and livelihoods using the RIMA tool. Targeting deforestation and biodiversity loss due to the refugee influx, the program emphasized sustainable development, food security, and ecosystem preservation amidst high population density and growth.
